The Rezhuan religion had many different deities, and different types of deities and mythical creatures. Perhaps one day I shall go into more detail here, but for now, this page will focus on The Six Parents.
The Six Parents
The Six Parents are six Rezhuan anthropomorphic animal deities that are often referred to by an epithet "Mother of X" or "Father of X". The term "The Six Parents" was first used in theological discourse during the Esharsawáh period, but even before this, they were considered to be one group among the deities, separated by the fact that they were summoned in the great temples of Rezhuia. They all had rituals performed before their incarnations in return for advice or services within their domain that could be performed within the borders of the temple. What exactly these domains were varied across time and space, but the most common ones were healing performed by the Mother of Rivers or war advice given by the Mother of Flames.
